No two students are alike and neither are any two colleges. Therefore, the one-size-fits-all approach to college admissions counseling that high schools have to use does not serve the needs of many students and families. College is one of the most important investments a family will make in terms of both time and money. And you only get one shot at getting it right. Why leave it to chance?

Beth Casey of Potential College Advising has invested years into learning the finer points of college admissions. She has personally worked with dozens of high school students and has followed the paths of hundreds of others. Her experience and the successes and failures of the students she has followed lay the foundation for the services she is able to offer aspiring college students and their families.

Beth gets to know each of her students very well. Through tools like the Human eSources Inventories, personal interviews, parent interviews, resume completions and essay revisions, Beth ends up knowing more about a student than sometimes the student knows themselves. She also makes multiple in-depth visits to college campuses each year. In this way, she knows which schools “fit” which students and is able to make informed recommendations on the appropriate paths for each of her clients.

Summaries of individual college highlights/special programs and pictures of campus visits are posted on the Potential Facebook page and website. She attends conferences, regional information sessions and scours list-serves and other resources to stay up-to-date on all of the latest trends in college admissions so that you don’t have to.

Potential College Advising offers services ranging from single information sessions to all-inclusive packages. Pick the service that best suits you and improve the odds that your college investment will pay off.
